Joomla Audio Playlist Module

This article will introduce everyone to a Joomla Module used to create audio playlists.

Highlight Functions:

  • Create playlists from files or folders
  • Multiple Themes
  • Support MP3, WAV and OGG file.
  • Automatically fetch advanced meta like song title, album art.
  • Working with J3.6+ & J4, J5

 

Install and Use

1. Download and install via Joomla installer.

2. At the Module Manage > Add New > JMP Audio to get started:

3. Select Source: Files or Folders

3.1 With the Source as Files, enter the path to the audio file, one file per line:

media/audio/file1.mp3

media/audio/file2.mp3

....

To change the display name, enter:

media/audio/file1.mp3 => Song 1

media/audio/file2.mp3 => Song 2

....

The module with displays "Song 1" instead of "file1.mp3".

 

3.2 With the Source as a Folder, enter the paths to the folder containing the audio files, one per line. The system will automatically find files with the extension MP3, WAV and OGG:

media/audio_1

media/audio_2

....

4. Select Skin and set advanced parameters.

5. Set Module'postion and Assignment

6. Enjoy!

Note: In case the audio file has meta tags like Name, Album Cover... The module will automatically retrieve and display.

    The source as a folder does not work for me, the files does. I have done as you say above. Could it be a problem if other plugins for radio and audio is on the site or do you have a suggestion for me to test?

    Не доработан модуль.
    1. Изначальные параметры, имхо стоит проставить: loop:0,shuffle:0,volume:30, loadTrackInfoOnPlay:1 и/или: сделать возможность установки из админпанели модуля. Это всё правится, понятно, но вопрос ведь: в "законченности"/логике модуля.
    2. При прописывании имени трека - некоторый функционал пропадает.
    3. Прогресс-бар не доработан: если в скине имеются border-radius: начало трека - прямоугольник. Нужна маска.
    4. toggle (на выпадении плей-листа) не работает.
    5. Обращение к сторонним скриптам из скина: "не айс". Да и нужность оного: сомнительна.

    Тест на Мозилла, Хром.

    В принципе: респект😀 Заимствование? :) Многовато недочетиков.
    Перепилил, на свой вкус, вышло "как надо".
