K2 to Content Migration Plugin question was created by s1676699523
Hi, I just bought your K2 to Content Migration extension and just installed it on our site. It says that 4101 "articles" and 7 "categories" posted under K2 will be migrated to content, however we have 4168 items in the DATABASE_k2_items folder in our database. We counted all the items under K2 on the admin side and they line up with what your extension says, but we want know if the image attachments uploaded using K2 will also be migrated over, and also what other items are included in the count on our DATABASE_k2_items folder. How do we ensure that all content posted under K2 (text posts, images) gets imported to Joomla with their correct attached images so that we can remove the K2 extension ASAP?

Hi,
For articles that are in k2's trash, they are still present in k2's database table. These posts will not be migrated to Joomla content. When moving, the intro images will be moved to the images/k2 folder.
The best way to protect the images on k2 is to back up this folder media/k2.
After you have removed k2, this folder can be deleted. At this point, you just need to restore this folder.

Thanks, I just did the import. Another issue arose: the main menu pointed to the K2 categories, but after I did the import and tried to add a link to the imported categories in Joomla, it redirects to the home page. It's like the imported categories don't exist. Further, when I'm in the admin side and try to filter imported articles by imported category, the results fail to filter by category. What could be going on?

Hi!
Categories are still imported. However, the menus linked to K2 will be destroyed when you uninstall K2, you should redirect these menus to Joomla Content. Same with modules.

Thanks for the assistance. After importing the articles, I have decided to instead import the content of the website over to Wordpress, and I am wondering if it is possible to reverse the import/conversion of the K2 articles first.

Is this mean you would like to transfer content to k2?
