Import Content from CSV file
Instead of manually importing each article through a series of operations, with this tool, you can import a series of articles with a few clicks.
* Works with all Joomla versions.
After installing this extension, go to Components > CSV to Content to get started.
Here, upload your CSV file. Make sure your CSV file contains at least the following fields:
- Title
- Intro article content
- Full article content
Optional fields include: Alias, Category, Author, Created, Metakey, Metadesc, Image, and Hits.

Select the appropriate fields and click the "Import" button to start importing. The results will be displayed in real time.

1. The "radio buttons" extra field doesn't transfer the values in the additional field, e.g., "yes" or "no," and only enters certain values into the #__fields_values database.
2. The "textarea" extra field with the "Use editor" option checked converts to "textarea" when it should be "editor."
3. In K2, the extra field group is assigned in the category. In Joomla Articles, the category is assigned in the extra field. It would be nice if this were automatically completed. A checkbox could be added if someone doesn't want this option.
