Joomla Age Verification Module

Age Verification Popup - is a widget that asks website visitors to confirm their age before they start browsing. In this article, I will introduce you the module to enable this feature on websites built by Joomla. Let's get started!

First, you need to download and install this module from the admin page. Next, please go to Module Manage > New > select JMP Age Verification to start.

The module currently supports the following parameters:

  • Min Age: Minimum age to be able to access the website.
  • Dialog Title
  • Dialog Description
  • Under Age Message: A message will be displayed if the user is underage.
  • Enough Old Message: A message will be displayed if the user reaches the specified age.
  • Redirect URL if old enough: If the user is old enough, the user will be redirected to this URL (optional)
  • Redirect URL if underage: If underage, the user will be redirected to this URL (optional)

In addition, you can set how this module works. Can be by session or by day...

Hello,

I'm considering purchasing your File Attachments extension for a Joomla 5 website.

I intend to use it for distributing 3D CAD model archives (ZIP files) to website visitors.

I have three questions:

1. Does the extension generate temporary download links that automatically expire after a configurable period (e.g. 5 minutes), or are the download URLs permanent?

2. Does it support rate limiting to prevent automated bots from repeatedly requesting downloads?

3. Are the uploaded files stored outside the publicly accessible web directory, and are they delivered through a PHP download controller rather than direct file access?

These features are important because I want to protect the hosting server from automated mass downloads while allowing legitimate visitors unlimited access to different models.

We have a user group called "Members" in the frontend, which is a subgroup of "Managers." Members of this group cannot see the "Delete My Profile" option. How can I change this? Members of this group should also be able to delete their profiles.
